Starting this month, National Instruments, the pioneer in virtual instrumentation, will host a four-part series of technical conferences in seven cities within six South-East Asia countries. The summit series will focus on niche application areas, future trends and accord emphasis on engineers’ needs and requirements; hence imparting the latest technology tips and tricks to enable them to meet the challenges of today’s global economic turmoil and cost constraints.
This divergence from the traditional NIDays came after positive feedbacks from previous years’ NIDays conference attendees and industry insiders.
Trying out something differently this year, the NIDays topics will be divided into four quarterly conferences; each with a different topic theme. National Instruments ASEAN will delve into each topic deeply, providing a full spectrum of content for conference attendees and delivering specialized solutions that are directly relevant to their industry or application needs.
Part one of the conference series is titled Graphical System Design Summit, with emphasis on graphical programming and measurement systems. Over the four conferences in 2009, NI ASEAN will explore the concept of ‘Design –Prototype - Deploy’ and share the benefits of using a unified platform. Conference attendees will learn how to move away from the traditional methods and adopt NI’s revolutionary Virtual Instrumentation approach. There will also be an pavilion where exhibitors from different academic and industrial sectors showcase their innovative applications and projects using the graphical programming platform.
“Introducing a series of mini conferences is an innovative way to focus on niche areas and address the needs of each individual company. Amidst the imminent global economic gloom which spell acute woes for most industries, it is crucial for everybody to be looking at ways to increase efficiency at a reduced cost.” said Chandran Nair, managing director for NI ASEAN. “National Instruments continues to be the forerunner of the test and measurement market, with deep commitments to heavy R&D investments.
I am confident that our strong R&D background enables us to have all the expertise, latest technologies and tools to help companies optimize their application performances.”
The Graphical Design Summit will debut in Singapore on 13 February 2009 and thereafter make its rounds to Bangkok, Manila, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City by March 2009. For more information or to register for the events, please visit www.ni.com/asean/summits.
