Isolated DC/DC Power Converters with Built-in EMC Filtering Tout no Derating

RECOM has launched its latest series of 20W to 50W power range DC/DC converters. The PowerlinePlus Series are the first modules to incorporate RECOM’s innovative ICE Technology—Innovation in Converter Excellence—a combination of techniques to minimize internal heat dissipation and maximize the heat transfer to ambient to create a new converter series which offers high end performance at a price which is significantly lower than conventional specialist converters.

PowerlinePlus converters are one of the most efficient DC/DC power solution modules available and satisfy the unique requirements of many military, avionics, and high-end industrial applications with a case temperature operating range of -45°C to 120°C, built-in Class B EMC filters and fully protected outputs. PowerlinePlus converters combine a high efficiency design with a revolutionary integrated heat sink case to deliver more power over a wider temperature range while requiring less space and cost than equivalent solutions previously offered for these demanding applications.

The PowerlinePlus Converter series consists of six new module offerings:
RPP20-S_D
This series provides 20W of power with 2:1 input voltage range, single or dual output options, 2kVDC isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 90 percent, without derating, in a case size of only 2x1.2in.

RPP20-S_DW
Similar to the RPP20-S_D, this converter series offers an extra-wide 4:1 input voltage range.

RPP30-S_D
This converter provides 30W of power with 2:1 input voltage range, single or dual output options, 3kVDC isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 92 percent, without derating, in a case size of only 2x1.2in.

RPP30-S_DW
Similar to the RPP30, this converter series offers an extra-wide 4:1 input voltage range.

RPP40-S
This converter provides 40W of power with 2:1 input, single output, 3kVDC isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 92 percent, without derating, in a compact case size of only 2x1.2in.

RPP50-S
This converter provides 50W of power with 2:1 input, single output, 3kVDC isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 91 percent, without derating.

The devices come in compact 2x1.2in package.
