Subminiature Surface Mount Fuse Rated at 40A

(Product News, 29 Jul 2009 )

Littelfuse has launched a 40A fast-acting subminiature surface mount fuse for use in smaller embedded device protection with higher current applications. The 456 series 40A NANO2 fuse is the first 60VDC subminiature surface mount fuse in the market. It is RoHS-compliant, lead-free and halogen-free.

Measuring 12x4.5x4.5mm, the 456 Series 40A device offers interrupting ratings up to 600A at 60VDC. In addition to serving as an embedded secondary protection for PC servers, the 456 Series 40A fuse is also targeted at protecting PC server power supplies, voltage regulator modules and cooling fans, as well as base station power supplies, mass storage systems, automotive electronics and other higher current systems.

The 456 Series 40A fuse enables circuit engineers to design-in reliable primary and secondary over-current protection with a single miniature fuse.
