Pigeon Point Systems, an Actel company, announces continued compliance and interoperability initiatives for its xTCA board and module management controller releases. Formal testing for the recently released Pigeon Point management solutions based on the Actel Fusion mixed-signal FPGA and the Renesas H8S microcontroller was demonstrated live at the 2009 ATCA Summit xTCA SlotFest using Polaris Networks’ ATCA Testers. The SlotFest also featured dozens of Pigeon Point management controllers embedded in participating xTCA products. These successful demonstrations reconfirmed Pigeon Point’s dominance as an xTCA management component supplier.
“Polaris Networks welcomes Pigeon Point Systems’ use of our ATCA Tester and AMC Tester for formal testing of their widely adopted Board Management Reference (BMR) solutions, complementing Pigeon Point’s long-standing commitment to interoperable and compliant hardware platform management solutions,” said Bud Biswas, President of Polaris Networks. “Polaris Networks shares this commitment, which is also reflected in the Communication Platforms Trade Associations’ designation of our ATCA Tester as their authorized ATCA manageability test tool.”
Close collaboration between Pigeon Point Systems and Polaris Networks regarding Polaris’ xTCA testing tools allows Pigeon Point Systems to provide feedback to Polaris on new releases of the Polaris xTCA testers, taking advantage of Pigeon Point’s deep expertise in the management aspects of the xTCA management frameworks.
