EPCOS has released its latest series of current sense transformers based on EE12.6 ferrite core. The products are suitable for measuring alternating currents of up to 40A, and complement EPCOS’ portfolio of transformers with E4.2 and EE5 ferrite cores.
The products are particularly suited for compact DC/DC converters. The primary winding of the complete solution consists of an external yoke, and has a DC resistance of 0.28mΩ and rated current of 40A. The transformers are available with inductances between 1.4µH and 22.4µH and secondary-side DC resistances between 400mΩ and 2.5Ω.
