VGA port protector integrates level shifting, buffering

Maxim Integrated Products’ MAX4895E VGA port protector IC interfaces between a video graphics controller and VGA port connector. The device integrates HSYNC/VSYNC level-shifting buffers to ensure full compatibility with VESA VSIS specifications. Additionally, it includes robust ESD protection on all seven VGA video outputs. The 3x3mm MAX4895E operates from a single 5V supply, and is fully specified over the -40°C to 85°C temperature range.
