Premier Farnell will expand its footprint in Asia-Pacific with a new sales office in Penang, Malaysia. Patrick Wallace, Regional Director for ASEAN, Premier Farnell, said: “Malaysia is a key market for Farnell in Asia-Pacific and this investment is evidence of our commitment to our customers in Malaysia. As the first and only high-service distributor to establish a sales office in Penang, we will continue to focus on accelerating our customers’ success and exceeding their expectations through our high-service, multi-channel strategy and continuous investments in our product portfolio.”
The new office in Penang, home to a number of global manufacturers who are also Premier Farnell’s customers and suppliers, will house an experienced team of sales engineers led by Mike Wong, National Sales Manager for Malaysia. Plans are underway for market-building activities as well as an official opening ceremony soon.
“Building on our sales network here, we intend to further offer our Malaysia-based customers value added services and the widest range of products to meet their needs. Ultimately, we want to continue to offer our customers the right high-quality electronic components with speed, ease and efficiency,” Wallace added.
