Actel Corp. received a coveted supplier award from Mitsubishi Electric Corp., a prime contractor on many of Japan's most important space programs. This award validates Actel's commitment to quality, reliability and continued support of the space market. Mitsubishi Electric prides itself on high-quality standards of the technology and solutions accepted on their vendor approved list. This award reinforces Mitsubishi Electric's desire to keep Actel FPGAs as part of ongoing and future solutions for their space programs.
"With this award we acknowledge the contribution Actel's space-flight FPGAs have made to Mitsubishi Electric's success," said Yukihiro Honda, Deputy General Manager at Kamakura Works. "Actel has provided Mitsubishi Electric with the features we need for our spacecraft, and has met our requirements for quality, reliability and delivery."
Actel's RTSX-SU and RTAX-S FPGAs are the industry-standard logic integration devices for space-flight applications. Actel space-flight FPGAs are used in many satellite and spacecraft applications developed by many companies around the world and have been flown in many hundreds of satellites in the past 17 years.
"Actel is deeply honored to receive this award from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation," said Ken O'Neill, director of high-reliability product marketing at Actel. "We look forward to continuing and developing our collaborative relationship with Mitsubishi Electric."
