Starting this year RV-VLSI (a unit of the RV Group of educational institutions) is offering industry-approved BE projects to 8th semester students of engineering colleges affiliated to VTU. At present, about 133 students from nine different colleges have already registered for the BE projects. The students will get the benefit of understanding how the industry solves problems by doing projects under the guidance of industry professionals from RV-VLSI.
In line with this, RV-VLSI, in cooperation with Mentor Graphics India, has announced a design contest for students in the program. The VLSI/embedded system design contest aims to instill a competitive spirit among students undertaking projects at RV-VLSI, and help bridge the industry-academia gap and improve the employability of students. Four cash prizes to be sponsored by Rashtreeya Shiksana Samithi Trust and Mentor Graphics, and two Rolling Trophies were announced.
