Fujitsu Launches UK's First ISV Collaboration Centre

(Business News, 28 Jun 2005 )

Fujitsu Europe Limited has launches its brand new Independent Software Vendor Collaboration Centre (ICC) facility at its Hayes Park office near Heathrow. The centre will serve as a primary point of information for partners, ISVs, resellers and end users, enabling them to understand, test and try-out Fujitsu scanning and DM solutions first-hand. Alongside the ICC visitors will also have access to a Demonstration Room for testing and evaluating the full range of Fujitsu's scanning and KVM products in action, as well as a Laboratory area, where visitors can try out its most innovative technologies such as the Maron-1 household robot and Fujitsu's Palm Vein Scanner.

The opening of the centre with attendees including Fujitsu partners such as Adobe, Abbyy, PFU, Aiim and Cimtech and ISV's such as Captiva, Readsoft and Kofax. Equipped with the most commonly integrated document management software packages available and the very latest in Fujitsu document scanners, the ICC will allow ISV's to test any new software with the scanners prior to market release or to share the value of their complete document management solution with prospective resellers or end users.

The launch underpins Fujitsu's commitment to R&D, with the company already spending in excess of Ł120 million each year, and it is in the spirit of technological and market advancement that the ICC has been created. The inaugural year saw a staff of 700 and turnover of Ł12,500 to the present day where over 150,000 staff are employed worldwide with recorded revenue of over Ł23 billion.

Fujitsu spokesperson Andrew Cowling said: "Enterprise Content Management (ECM) is increasingly becoming a business critical process. For any company looking to provide a market and society with valuable information, products and services, ECM plays a pivotal role. The ICC boasts the latest Fujitsu developments in document related technologies and opens the door to our partners to explore collaboration opportunities and create synergies between our organisations. With the ICC Fujitsu is proud to offer its partners unequalled support - providing them with the tools necessary to stay one step ahead in the ever-evolving document management arena and help create the document management solutions of the future."
