High performance four-channel audio DAC

( 01 Aug 2004 )

Texas Instruments' four-channel, 24-bit audio DAC features 118dB dynamic range, Š100dB total harmonic distortion and up to 200kHz sampling.

The PCM4104 is designed for professional audio applications, such as digital mixing consoles, digital effects processors, multi-track recorders, broadcast studio equipment, surround sound processors and high-end A/V receivers. It employs delta-sigma technology with a high-performance, multi-level modulator and a switched capacitor output filter. This architecture yields lower out of band noise and a high tolerance to system clock phase jitter.

Packaged in a 48-lead TQFP the PCM4104 operates from a +5V analog power supply and a +3.3V digital power supply. The digital I/O is compatible with +3.3V logic families.
