SigmaTel has announced its SoC solution for the multi-function printer market. Exhibiting very high levels of SoC integration, the STDC2150 SoC solution offers customers a faster time-to-market advantage with a low bill of materials cost. Comprised of powerful hardware image processing accelerators and codes, high-bandwidth system I/O interfaces, a 32-bit microprocessor core, and a featured software development kit (SDK), the STDC2150 SOC solution offers very high photographic image quality for printing and copying. It also connects and prints directly to many of the inkjet print heads already on the market while supporting advanced photo printing features such as 6-colour printing, memory cards, LCD graphic displays, Bluetooth, and WiFi. In addition, SigmaTel created the STDC2150 to allow designers to use one controller platform for an entire family of inkjet photo All-In-One (AIO) systems saving customers significant development costs and time.
