Amtech Systems Inc., supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the semiconductor and solar cell industries, announced a new order totaling approximately $2 million for thermal processing and automation systems from the solar cell industry. The order is a follow-on order from an Asian-based customer who is a supplier of solar wafers to the industry as well as a manufacturer of photovoltaic cells, modules and application systems. The order is expected to ship in the fiscal quarter ending March 31, 2007.
