Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) announced the opening of an advanced microprocessor development facility in Fort Collins, CO. AMD plans to use the increased flexibility and efficiency provided by the MHDC to accelerate the introduction of next-generation microprocessors that are more closely aligned with the evolving priorities of customers, partners and end users worldwide.

Jeff VerHeul, corporate vice president, Silicon Design Engineering, said, "The opening of the Mile High Design Center is a testament to our ongoing commitment to customers.
