By Vinod Kataria

Agilent Technologies Inc., in measurement and technology in communications, announced the launch of its N9310A RF Signal Generator. The instrument will provide high performance and better quality at a lower cost, while reducing the cost of test.

The new Agilent N9310A RF signal generator reinforces Agilent’s entry into the low cost test instruments market and delivers on Agilent’s commitment to provide quality and cost effective products to customers. It also covers ranges from 9 kHz to 3 GHz and full range of modulation types, including AM, FM, phase modulation, pulse modulations and an optional IQ modulator. With its external IQ source, it can easily generate various types of I/Q modulated signals such as GSM, CDMA and OFDM signals as seen in modern digital communications systems.

Huo Feng, general manager of Agilent Chengdu Instruments Division, said, "The Agilent N9310A helps customers reduce the cost of test. Customers also have access to Agilent’s superior technical support, backed by a service and calibration network. The launch of N9310A is a commitment to continue to provide value added solutions to high growth electronics manufacturing activities worldwide."
