Smith Micro Software has released StuffIt Deluxe 11.0, the version of its innovative data compression, access, and management solution for Mac OS X. The redesigned Universal Binary version of StuffIt Deluxe introduces StuffIt Archive Manager, providing native support for Intel based Macs, and featuring a number of improvements to its core compression engine. These improvements deliver faster compression and decompression speeds, evident on dual-processor or dual-core Macs.
Utilizing multi-threading compression engine, Universal Binary version of StuffIt Deluxe v11.0 provides data compression, access, and management solution for Mac OS X. Included StuffIt Archive Manager offers native support for Intel based Macs, and groups related files together into user-customizable collections. Software also supports creation of encrypted Zip archives and lets Mac users open strong encrypted Windows Zip archives. It also offers Spotlight search technology.
