For 30 years, National Instruments (www.ni.com) has been a technology pioneer and leader in virtual instrumentation – a revolutionary concept that has changed the way engineers and scientists in industry, government and academia approach measurement and automation. Leveraging PCs and commercial technologies, virtual instrumentation increases productivity and lowers costs for test, control and design applications through easy-to-integrate software, such as NI LabVIEW, and modular measurement and control hardware for PXI, PCI, PCI Express, USB and Ethernet. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, NI has more than 3,900 employees and direct operations in nearly 40 countries. For the past seven years, FORTUNE magazine has named NI one of the 100 best companies to work for in America.
Agilent Technologies is the world's premier measurement company. Agilent provides core electronic and bio-analytical measurement tools to advance the electronics, communications, life science research, environmental and petrochemical industries.
About two-thirds of Agilent's revenue was generated from outside of the United States in fiscal 2005. With 19,000 employees, our global presence offers a competitive advantage. Agilent's manufacturing, R&D, sales and support capabilities around the world give customers the flexibility they need in today's competitive environment.
Around the World
Agilent has facilities in about 30 countries and develops products at manufacturing sites in the U.S., China, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and the U.K. Agilent Labs has its headquarters in Palo Alto, California, with additional sites in South Queensferry, Scotland and Beijing, China.
Heritage
Agilent's pioneering spirit was kindled more than 60 years ago, when two engineers - Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard - invented the future in their garage. In 1999, Agilent was spun off from Hewlett-Packard Company, and we have continued to support the values so important to the two visionary founders. We have also continued to innovate in territory that matters, blazing trails in the fields that are shaping the modern world.
Identity and Culture
While, physically, we have outgrown HP's garage, we continue to live the values handed down from Bill and Dave: uncompromising integrity; trust, respect and teamwork; and innovation that makes a difference.

High-Tech with History
Hitex can look back on more than 30 years of company history. Hitex started with the manufacture of emulators for the Z80. Soon, tools for 8051 followed. After the success of the first in-circuit emulators, Hitex began marketing worldwide: the company founded branches in Great Britain, the USA and Asia and is represented by sales partners in all other important regions of the globe.
In 1997, Hitex acquired the development tools branch of Kontron, thereby strengthening its position in the market.
Since the beginning of 2003, Hitex Development Tools belongs to Infineon Technologies AG. This connection guarantees Hitex a solid and secure future. At the same time, Hitex is still acting as an independent company, and able to maintain and extend its existing partnerships with other semiconductor manufacturers.
With a stable position in the market of 8- and 16-bit controllers, Hitex has begun the promising entry in the 32-bit world. Here Hitex has taken into account the rapidly growing popularity and now offers a comprehensive tool range for ARM core microprocessors.
Now, the Hitex product palette includes – in addition to emulators – bus and protocol analysers, as well as software tools! Hitex has invested considerable effort in establishing and expanding the market for embedded software testing tools, and can count on almost all European 1st and 2nd tier suppliers to the automotive industry as its customers. And last but not least, what makes us stand out is our service, support, and the complete product-oriented training programs we offer.
