Keysight Technologies Inc. has launched its E36300 series of triple-output programmable DC power supplies. The devices in the series incorporates a large colour display, intuitive user interface and device connections via LAN (LXI, USB and optional GPIB).

"With the E36300 series, engineers can simulate power problems early in the design cycle. And advanced features, such as low-current measurements, auto-series and auto-parallel connections, sequencing and data logging, help them detect power problems," said Bill Griffith, application engineering manager at Keysight.

Keysight noted that the E36300 series' low "normal mode" noise specifications assure quality power for precision circuitry applications. In addition, the power supplies are acoustically quiet. Each model provides line/load regulation of 0.01%, transient response time of less than 50us, low-range current measurement, and over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection to prevent damage to the device under test, the company added.

The E36300 series is supported by Keysight's BenchVue software, enabling the control of power supplies to set parameters and status alerts, visualise power output, and log changing voltage and current over time. The included test flow capabilities let users automate power-supply setups and measurements into test sequences.

Aside from experienced design engineers, the E36300 series can be used by students learning to use power supplies for the first time. The series includes a full-menu and front-panel interface for ease of use. The power supplies also provide individual knobs for voltage and current, individual On/Off on each channel, and a keypad and softkeys to easily configure the power supply.
