SkyTraq to Showcase New AGPS Chipset Solutions at CeBIT 2008
SkyTraq Technology Inc.
(Product Announcements, 25/2/2008)
SkyTraq Technology Inc., a fabless AGPS chipset company, will promote its latest AGPS chipset solutions at CeBIT 2008, taking place in Hanover Germany from March 4 ~ March 9. SkyTraq will be showcasing its latest stand-alone Venus 6 AGPS technology, featuring 65-channel, fast 29-second cold-start, and low power consumption of 40mW.

Fast signal acquisition, weak signal tracking, and low power consumption make the Venus 6 suitable for enabling navigation function on mobile phone and portable devices using small antennas. A variety of Venus 6 chipset solutions will be introduced. QFN packaged Venus 6T for minimal BOM cost standard type application, QFN packaged Venus 6D for minimal BOM cost geo-tagging applications, TFBGA packaged Venus 6S chipset for minimal footprint, and Flash-based Venus 6F for programmability and customization.

SkyTraq will also promote its new Venus 122 GPS/Galileo RF front-end. Venus122-based software-GPS/AGPS solution suitable for locate-on-demand type of application will be available in Q3 2008, cutting the BOM cost of adding GPS/AGPS functionality to mobile computing platforms to under $1 for volume customers. The SkyTraq Venus architecture is designed with performance, size, and cost in mind to meet stringent requirements of portable consumer GPS applications.

Stand-alone architecture of the Venus 6 chipset solutions makes it particularly easy to integrate, reducing development cost, and shortening time to market.

SkyTraq's booth is located at Hall 14, G58, 11.
