IVT Announces Its New 'Extended Range' Bluetooth Portfolio of Products for Fixed-Mobile Convergence

IVT, the world leading Bluetooth technology specialist, will demonstrate its new 'Extended Range' Bluetooth Portfolio of products for Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) at Taipei Computex, June 3-7, in Bluetooth Pavilion. 'The general user perception is that Bluetooth is a 10 meter Radio. 'Extended Range' added on Bluetooth Branding clarifies that Bluetooth is more than a 10 meter technology. IVT's O200 GSM phone, a feature rich, quad-band GSM phone for the world wide market, using Bluetooth Cordless Telephony Profile, can make and receive PSTN calls or IP calls in excess of 500 meters in open air through IVT's PSTN or SIP access points respectively,' stated Fei Xu, IVT's director of embedded application.
