TI introduces flexible, dual-speed SerDes device for EPON optical line terminals

Texas Instruments (TI) has introduced a low-power serializer/deserializer (SerDes) device that provides a fast relock time and supports a wide data bandwidth range from 1 to 2.6 Gbps in point-to-point data transmission systems. The SerDes transceiver’s independent transmit and receive channels allow asynchronous data rate operation.
