PMC-Sierra announces “industry’s first” demonstration of 10G EPON 3/7/2008

PMC-Sierra has announced the industry’s first demonstration of 10Gbit/s IEEE 802.3av EPON. The demonstration, based on PMC-Sierra’s complete reference designs for 10Gbit/s EPON, the PAS8001 for 10G Optical Line Terminals (OLT) and the PAS9001 for 10G Optical Network Units (ONU), was conducted at Optinet China, May 28-29, in Beijing, China.
