The WiFi switches from Skyworks operate from a voltage supply range of 3V to 5V and are compatible with 1.8V or 3.3V control logic.
Skyworks has introduced the SKY13585-679LF SPDT switch and SKY13586-678LF SP3T antenna switch that pack DC blocking capacitors in a tiny 6-pin and 8-pin packages, respectively. The devices support a voltage supply range of 3V to 5V and are compatible with 1.8V or 3.3V control logic.
Intended for mode switching in 1GHz to 6GHz WLAN applications, the SKY13585-679LF SPDT switch maintains low insertion loss and high isolation for all switching paths. Insertion loss is 0.5dB typical at 2.45GHz, while isolation is 38dB typical at 2.45GHz. High linearity and low insertion loss make the part ideal for low-power transmit/receive applications, the company said.
The SKY13586-678LF SP3T antenna switch can be used for all WLAN and Bluetooth systems operating in the 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz band. Specifications for this device include insertion loss of 0.75dB typical at 2.5GHz and isolation of 35dB typical at 2.5GHz. Switching between the antenna (RFC signal) and the RF1, RF2 and RF3 ports is accomplished with two control voltages (V1 and V2).
The SKY13585-679LF SPDT switch comes in a 1mm x 1mm x 0.32mm, 6-pin exposed pad plastic MLPD (micro leadframe package dual). The SKY13586-678LF SP3T antenna switch is housed in a 1.1mm x 1.1mm x 0.33mm, 8-pin MLP (micro leadframe package).
