Synopsys has entered into a partnership with Mobileye to secure future Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) SoCs using the former's Z01X safety verification solution. The Z01X fault simulation will run practical fault injection tests on the Mobileye ADAS to check compliance to the ISO 26262 ASIL D certification.

Synopsys claims its Z01X fault simulation product is based on a 10-year collaboration with major automotive companies in fault injection testing. The Z01X uses an algorithm that enables thousands of faults to be simulated concurrently on each available processor to speed up the verification process. Additionally, the Z01X supports all permanent and transient fault models required by the ISO 26262 automotive safety standard.

The company said the Z01X is being used in developing ICs and software for infotainment, ADAS, V2X and autonomous driving applications.
