The latest devices from Phoenix Contact target LED lighting and other space-critical applications, and can be easily locked and unlocked without the use of any special tools.
Phoenix Contact has announced a line-up of miniature connectors with versions that lock together to expand its PTSM portfolio. The latest devices, which target LED lighting and other space-critical applications, feature latching flanges on the connectors that can be easily locked and unlocked without the use of any special tools.
The PTSM connectors, compatible with any existing PTSM headers, can be combined in multiple ways, including wire-to-board, board-to-board, wire-to-wire and through-board. Like the original PTSM series, the latching versions are just 5mm high and have a 2.5mm pitch. Devices have a UL rating of up to 5A and 150V. They accept AWG 20-26 wire and offer two to eight positions per connector.
Though intended for the lighting industry, PTSM latching connectors are suitable for any miniature wire-to-wire or wire-to-board application, such as camera systems, stepping motors and medical devices.
